SANDPAPER
Use an all purpose sandpaper. I like to have various grits on hand.
150, 220, 400, 600, 800 | Lower grits are coarse, higher grits are fine.
Using a sanding sponge can be easier and faster for large areas. Needle files work well for small grooves. Nail sponges can help buff and smooth before primer.

RESIN PREP
When prepping resin, remove the mold release by scrubbing and washing the model in Bar Keeper's Friend with an old toothbrush. Then rinse with a Dawn Dish soap layer.

PRIMER
_________________________________________________________________________________
Primer is required for your sculpting or customizing project as a base for paint to adhere to. You do not need to strip the model of it's original paint, but it should be sanded and cleaned. The primer will cover the original colour. Primer must be sprayed outdoors with the use of a respirator!
STICK TO ONE OF THESE BRANDS!
Pick a colour depending on your project and paint medium.
Primer reacts to humidity level and application methods. Play with different brands to find the best match.

DUPLICOLOUR : amzn.to/4js5wIQ
Dries to a matte, chalky and thin finish - Sandable or Filler versions both work based on preference. I prefer sandable in grey or red.
RUSTOLEUM : amzn.to/4jrz9Kg
Dries to a satin, tacky and thick finish - Be sure to let cure for a full 6 days.
TAMIYA : amzn.to/4g7b48K
Dries to a satin, chalky and medium finish - Regular and Fine versions both work based on preference
