Welcome to my first available in person online session!
Please bear with me as I navigate this new form of teaching practice. SEEING SPOTS Painting a Black Blanket Appaloosa in Acrylic New Year 2026 Session You may paint the base coat in whatever medium you prefer. The lesson will focus on acrylic methods for the blanket and will cover simple methods for the body colour. DATES February 1 - March 1 SCHEDULE WEEK 1: February 1 - Intro to Appaloosa WEEK 2: February 8 - Planning the Markings WEEK 3: February 15 - Hair Layer WEEK 4: February 22 - Additional Layers & Detailing WEEK 5: March 1 - Finishing Up & Final Reviews TIME 6:30 - 8:30 MST Week 5 Class 6:30 - 7:30 MST WHERE Zoom A join link will be emailed evening of each class. Classes will be recorded to watch if they are missed. It is most engaging if you video call into the class, but you may also use audio if you prefer. I ask attendees mute their mics when not speaking. FORMAT Each class will have an lecture and demonstration of the process. Questions will be answered during the in-person session. There will be time to pick away at the beginning phase of the project. Homework and progress check points will be assigned for the week until the next class. Photo submission is requested for each week of progress. These photos will be reviewed at the beginning of each class with advice or any concerns you have. The Facebook chat will also be open and available throughout the week. HOMEWORK SUBMISSIONS Please submit homework no later than 3:00 pm MST on each Sunday. If submissions are late, they may not be included in the weekly review. These will be recorded for those who cannot attend. Auditing does not include access to the chat or live reviews. Please gather the proper tools ahead of time! MODEL Prep & Prime 1 Classic or Traditional scale model You may either use a model to test this method or focus on completing the entire model.
