DRASTIC CUSTOM BREYER MODEL HORSES
EQUINE ARTISTRY BY DARYNN BEDNARCZYK OF DEEJAYBE STUDIOS
Drastic customizing is the process of taking a Breyer Model Horse and modifying the sculpture into a one of a kind piece. Breyer models are made of a plastic that is easily cut & very malleable when exposed to heat. Horses are cut using a hack saw, a Dremel rotary tool, heated with an embossing gun, re-positioned and attached using wire & superglue. Sculpting is done with a two-part Apoxie clay. The process for 1:9 scale models can take up to a month to complete.
